Setting our Sights on Tall Ships

This might not be happening this weekend, but the Tall Ships Festival is a big enough deal that we figure you'll want to plan ahead. Summer is almost upon us, so be prepared to take in the best of Nova Scotian food, entertainment, heritage and history - all with the grand backdrop of the most historic ships in the world.

Sailing into Halifax from July 19-23 (and then throughout the province of Nova Scotia until July 29), the Tall Ships Festival is not to be missed. Combined with the fact that Hey Rosetta! will be playing an exclusive show July 21 on George's Island (we can't wait!), it's an event that you're going to want to tell all of your friends from out of province about...and that's where we come in.

Halifax's Waterfront Development Corporation has launched an animated Facebook contest to win the Ultimate Tall Ships Adventure - a chance to travel to Nova Scotia or bring friends and family home this summer for the Tall Ships festival. Facebook users simply need to launch a digital message in a bottle to enter for the chance to win many instant prizes, as well as the grand prize of five days of Tall Ships adventure. The grand prize includes airfare from anywhere in Canada to Nova Scotia, transportation, hotel, food and more!
